Cold Fusion Now, a web site that is dedicated to provide significant information about new and clean energy, recently interviewed Dr. George Miley, affiliate professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The interview was spearheaded by Ruby Carat who also attended an LENR conference in Woodlands, Texas where Miley was among the speakers. The conference tackled Nuclear and Emerging Technology for Space. Miley provided an interesting presentation about his theoretical work. A day before the conference, Carat has a chance to interview Miley to discuss about his topic. She even took the trip to Texas just to make this very interesting report. Cold Fusion Now offered a transcript of this interview where Miley revealed that he has developed a model for what is going on in LENR reactions. A summary was provided in the article along with graphics.

When asked about the prevailing anti-cold fusion sentiment in the United States, Miley expressed his disappointment but remained hopeful about the success of the LENR commercialization outside the United States. He also talked about the early cold fusion experiment days where he worked together with Martin Fleischmann, Stanley Pons and Steven Jones. Of course, the failed Fleischmann-Pons experiment gave cold fusion a negative publicity that seems to haunt inventions related to it. The involvement of Miley with Fleischmann and Pons was also discussed in the interview and he believes that commercial development of LENR is more likely to begin outside the United States. It is interesting to note that he identified Andrea Rossi e-cat fusion and as a possible source of new energy that would bring commercial LENR to a great success.

It must also be noted that Miley has started a small company called LENUCO. Based in the research park at University of Illinois, Miley disclosed his chances of successful commercialization of his on-going LENR work. Rossi e-cat is expected to start production and sales within 16 months with plans of producing a million HomeE-Cats. Miley said that commercialization of an LENR technology is definitely a tremendous challenge. He admitted that he actually does not know if this may go belly up or may be a huge success but one thing is certain according to Miley – “It’s going to be one or the other.” If LENR technologies will hit the marketplace successfully within this year, it could absolutely change the future of the world.
